SCRIPTURES: John 6:1-14
BOTTOM LINE: God’s Outlook at our Mountains is so much different than Ours!
QUESTION: What has me paralyzed at the bottom of the Mountain?
We don’t know much about Jesus’ childhood except for a few verses in Luke 2 … where we’re told His parents lost Him and found Him in the Temple Courts, asking questions and all the people were amazed at His understanding and answers.
But nothing else is known about His early life, and definitely unlike Paul, who sat at the feet of one of the most well known Pharisees of the time and gained a great education, Jesus didn’t sit at the feet of anyone! He didn’t go to college or University or Seminary or anything like that. He was just a poor carpenter.
And YET … His Teachings were amazing! 1,000’s of people would gather around to listen to Him. Many left their homes, their jobs and their families to sit at His feet and learn from him! And even today … that’s pretty much un-heard of isn’t it? The Teachings of Jesus are still changing lives almost 2,000 years after He 1st taught them!
The Teachings of Jesus teach us how our Heavenly Father desires for us to live … and if we study them over and over, and allow them to begin to penetrate our lives, and literally transform our lives as the Lens thru which we view each moment, the impact of our lives can be incredible!
George Mueller said … I say … and say deliberately … trails, obstacles, difficulties and sometimes defeats … are the very food of Faith.
I don’t know if you can relate? At times, the mountain is so big in front of us that there’s no way we can see anything on the other side … right? But we can’t miss this here … because this has the ability to change our lives.
GOD’S OUTLOOK CONCERNING LIFE’S MOUNTAINS
- GOD’S NOT OVERWHLEMED BY OUR CIRCUMSTANCES!
Jeremiah 32:17 … “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?”
- GOD DOES A LOT WITH A LITTLE!!!!!
1 John 3:1 … “1 Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God.”
Zechariah 4:6 … “6 Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.”
James 1:3-4 … “3 … knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have it perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
OUR OBLIGATION CONCERNING LIFE’S MOUNTAINS
Hebrews 12:1 … “1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.”
